Introduction
UNESCO Chair for Low Carbon and Sustainable Agriculture in Biosphere Reserves was established at the Muhammad Nawaz Shareef University of Agriculture (MNSUAM) in Multan, Pakistan. The Department of Climate Change is working under the Umbrella of Centre for Agricultural Sustainability in South Punjab (CAS-SP) and closely associated with UNESCO chair. On academic forefronts, Department of Climate Change at MNSUAM is offering M.Sc. (Hons.) Climate Change program that prepares graduates for ethical, innovative and effective professional practice in diverse careers related to climate change in government, civil society, business and local/international development. This program is being offered keeping in view the National Climate Change Policy 2021, and Punjab Climate Change Policy and Action Plan 2024 highlighting the dire need of climate change education and trained human resources. We intend to produce environmental leaders who are interdisciplinary and analytical in their approach to environmental issues, and competent and aware decision makers.
